THINGS TO DO
BEACHES
There are beaches all down the coast-line but the nearest beach is the Arenal beach (sand), located approximately 1.5km from the villa. The beach offers fine and shallow waters and the facilities include artificial and natural shade, water sports (both during high season), children play areas, restaurants, bars, shops and parking.
Other beaches include the gravel beach, located close to Javea’s port and just around the corner from the Arenal.
A 10 minute drive will take you to the secluded beach of Portichol (pebble), where the waters are clear allowing you to snorkel around the rocks. A must for those who will enjoy seeing fish.

EAT & DRINK
There are many good, family friendly restaurants within the locality which serve a multitude of cuisines, ranging from traditional Spanish tapas and paella to international classics.
There are various bars in and around the area, many of which are located along the Arenal and by the port. Several of the bars located along the Arenal show live sport. You will find more traditional Spanish bars located in Javea old town and the port area.

DAY TRIPS
Within a short distance of the villa, there are a variety of attractions, including live shows, waterparks, theme parks, waterfalls and walks.

SPORTS
Kayaks and pedalos can be hired from the beach front during the summer months.
Boats and jet skis can be hired from the beach front during the summer months.
Diving gear can be hired during the summer months from local dive centres along the Arenal.
There are two local tennis clubs that have courts available to hire.

NIGHTLIFE
The major nightclub in Javea is called Achill which is located on the Arenal. In the summer months Achill is open from 11 in the evening. Other Javea nightclubs are La Hacienda, Moli Blanc and La Noche.
Although there are very few clubs, many of the bars in Javea offer entertainment such as karaoke or live acts singing popular cover versions.

CULTURE
Javea old town is steeped in history as is evident from its architecture. The 'Soler Blasco' museum in the old town offers exhibitions over three floors, where you can find pictures of local painters and an extensive and valuable collection of objects that have been found on the coast of Javea.
The weekly market in Javea takes place every Thursday, in the square 'Plaza de la Constitución'. The market is very typical of those in the Alicante province, offering fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and meat products, household items, shoes, clothing and leather goods.
